Beginners and advanced needle felting projects for May
Needle Felting 101
Dates: Feb. 2, Mar. 2, May 4, June 1, July 6, Aug. 3, Sept. 7, Oct. 5, Nov. 2
Time: First Saturday of each month 10:00am - 12:00pm
Cost: $35 + HST (some materials included)
Projects: Needle felted baby chick balls (Feb. 2), needle felted Easter eggs (Mar. 2), needle felted toadstool (May 4), gift for the teacher needle felted apple (June 1), kids needle felting workshop cookie cutter heart ornament (July 6, Aug. 3), needle felted Teddy bear ball (Sept. 7), needle felted miniature pumpkin (Oct. 5), Christmas snowman ornament (Nov. 2)
No previous felting or sewing experience is necessary. You will make needle felting toys, ornaments, or home decor.
Needle Felting 202
Dates: Feb. 9, Mar. 9, May 11, June 8, July 13, Aug. 10, Sept. 14, Oct. 12, Nov. 9
Time: Second Saturday of each month 10:00am - 1:00pm
Cost: $55 + HST (some materials included)
Projects: Needle felted veggies (Feb. 9), needle felted Easter decorations (Mar. 9), needle felted Matryoshka doll (May 11), gift for the teacher needle felted applique (June 8), kids needle felting workshop needle felt play balls (July 13, Aug. 10), needle felted cupcakes (Sept. 14), needle felting Jack-o-Lantern for Halloween (Oct. 12), Santa or reindeer Christmas ornament (Nov. 9)
This is an advanced class for anyone that has some experience with needle felting. You will make needle felted cakes, animals, or holiday creations.

The toque and fingerless gloves are examples of what you will be learning to knit!
Knitting From The Beginning
Dates: Feb. 8/15, Apr. 5/19 (cancelled), June 7/14, Aug. 2/9, Oct. 4/11
Time: Friday Nights 6:30pm-8:30pm
Cost: $70 + HST for two classes (does not include materials)
Materials: 50 grams of worsted weight yarn, and US size 6 / 4 mm straight needles OR circular needles (24" or longer). Materials can be purchased before class.
Project: Gloves/Wrist Warmers, original pattern by Grace Verhagen
Have fun learning all the basics of knitting to create eye catching wrist warmers. Learn to fix mistakes confidently and with ease. Small classes ensure more one-on-one attention. Enjoy the company of other beginners experiencing knitting for the first time.

Knitting 202: Beyond The Scarf
Dates: Mar. 1/15, May 3/17, July 5/12, Sept. 6/13, Nov. 1/8
Time: Friday Nights 6:30pm-8:30pm
Cost: $70 + HST for two classes (does not include materials)
Materials: 100 grams of worsted weight yarn, and...
-If creating a hat: US size 6 / 4 mm double pointed needles OR 16" circular needles.
-If creating a cowl: US size 6 / 4 mm circular needles (approx. 24" long).
Project: Slouchy hat/Neck warmer, original pattern by Grace Verhagen
Ready to knit more than a square? In this intermediate level class, we will explore knitting in the round, ribbing, yarn-overs, increases and decreases while creating a textured slouchy hat or cowl.
Skills Required: Ability to knit, purl, cast on and bind off.

Beginners Weaving
Dates: Mar. 9, Apr. 7, May 26, June 23
Time: 1:30 pm-4:30 pm
Cost: $55 + HST
Materials: Please come a half hour early to choose materials.

-A Knitters Loom will be provided to use in class. We also have them for purchase in the store. If purchased at time of class, you will receive 15% off!
Weave a scarf on the Ashford Knitters Loom. Learn the basics of weaving and how to warp your loom. In the class we will discuss materials and practice finishing techniques. This is a class for beginning weavers only.
